Shanghai Songjiang Station is scheduled to be completed and operational by the end of 2024. The station has a total construction area of approximately 258,000 square meters, including approximately 60,000 square meters for the North Station Building, 7,918 square meters for the South Station Building, and approximately 190,000 square meters for the Service Center. The station yard will accommodate nine platforms and 23 lines. The station has 15 ticket gates, including two in the South Station Building (numbers 1 and 2) and thirteen in the North Station Building (numbers 3 to 15).
As an ultra-large steel structure with integrated curtain wall and roof construction, the Shanghai Songjiang Station building presents significant design challenges, with numerous structural nodes and complex relationships at various locations.
On December 26, 2024, with the opening of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Lake High-Speed Railway, the Shanghai Songjiang Station North Station Building will be operational, connecting to the Shanghai-Suzhou-Lake High-Speed Railway and the Shanghai-Kunming Railway. This will fully demonstrate the capabilities of this large-scale integrated transportation hub, bringing significant convenience to residents along the Shanghai-Suzhou-Lake line and promoting further integration and accelerated development in the Yangtze River Delta region.
